Cleveland Metroparks
The team converged on CanalWay Center at Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in Cuyahoga Heights, a local gem in the Cleveland Metroparks. Amidst the surrounding industrial area, this reservation has been naturally reclaimed to support thriving habitats including wetlands, forests, the Cuyahoga River and flowing canal.
Somewhat of a sanctuary, the volunteers work tirelessly to save native species of plants and foliage, and eradicate invasive species. On this warm and sunny day the team worked to clean debris and tie up drooping foliage saving the lives of important plant species. Cinecraft IT Manager, Dan Parker on what he loves about the Metroparks, “The Cleveland Metroparks are my sanctuary, as they allow my technology centered soul to connect to nature!”
The Cleveland Metroparks formed by glaciers, 12,000 years ago, currently shares 18 reservations spanning more than 25,000 acres with more than 325 miles of trails, nine golf courses, eight lakefront parks and a nationally-acclaimed zoo.
