Greater Cleveland Food Bank
We spent the day volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. The Food Bank operates a community food distribution center, providing food and other critical grocery products annually to more than 1,000 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly, and other nonprofit agencies.
A group of Cinecrafters sorted, labeled, and packed thousands of cans of cherry pie filling. Based on the mid-September timing, we were helping families plan ahead for Thanksgiving. One of our volunteers, Heather Herstine, Instructional Designer said, “Knowing that the cans we packaged would help Cleveland families in need was quite rewarding.”
